You can submit your application to be a volunteer at any time and we will be in touch a month or two before the festival. Volunteering is definitely work that starts well before the fest and continues during and a bit after. We ask everyone to put up posters around town, we meet (usually over zoom) before the fest, ask you to help boost us regularly on social media, follow a work schedule during the event, etc. Volunteers usually have some time to see movies, and we do make sure that you get to experience some of the festival from the attendee side. Volunteering is really experiencing the festival from the back side. Our volunteers are vital, and we do find ways to show our appreciation. Most of our volunteers have been working with us for several years and we always welcome new blood!
