STAY OUT STAY ALIVE World Premiere will open Portland Horror Film Festival

Horror Fans, prepare yourselves for Wednesday June 5th! Portland Horror Film Festival opens its 2019 festival with the World Premiere Gala showing of STAY OUT STAY ALIVE. Inspired by true events, Dean Yurke’s debut feature as writer and director is a supernatural horror thriller set in an abandoned mine in Northern California.

Five friends set out to go camping and explore the woods near Golden Summit. The film stars Brandon Wardle, Brie Mattson, Sage Mears, William Romano-Pugh, Christina July Kim, with Barbara Crampton in a supporting role as a park ranger. Yurke will be in attendance on Wednesday night with actors Brandon Wardle and Brie Mattson who will do Q&A following the screening.

The evening’s program is a DOUBLE FEATURE, with a selection of NEW short films from around the world followed by filmmaker Q&A to cleanse the palate, and the West Coast Premiere of FANGORIA’S new horror comedy SATANIC PANIC, directed by Chelsea Stardust, to end the evening with a bloody bang!

Advance tickets are available through the Hollywood Theatre & Movie Madness, or buy online via the Hollywood Theatre website. Single Day tickets are $18 until June 3rd/$20 at the door.
